Merry Christmas to you from Dawn's Angel Wish Network!!!

I sent out a "network request" on December 12, 2008 and the "angels" came out in FULL FORCE! Here is what you did in record time:

1. YOU prevented a family from experiencing HOMELESSNESS!!

2. YOU provided this young lady with WONDERFUL JOB PROSPECTS!!

3. YOU provided food for this family for about 3 MONTHS!!!

4. YOU provided invaluable information to help give her and her family a FRESH START!!!

THANK YOU for making Christmas 2008 one this family will never forget. In my humble opinion, this is what it's all about. I will have more updates on this "network request" soon, but for now, let the spirit of this picture show you what your generosity has given this family.

NETWORK REQUEST: 12/12/08

I sent out a "network request" on December 12, 2008 asking all the angels to participate in meeting the following need:

NETWORK REQUEST: A young woman in the Akron, Ohio area is in desperate need. Like so many around the country, she has recently lost her source of employment, is struggling to feed her children, and may soon be facing homelessness. She has been desperately looking for work, but has experienced no success. For her, this Christmas season may be the most difficult of her lifetime.

THE NEED: Would you like to make a contribution to help this young lady? Can you provide any job resources? Would you like to provide a food basket? Do you know someone or an organization who would like to help? Could you forward this request to someone who could help? Do you need more information?

WELCOME to the new blog for Dawn's Angel Wish Network!!!

What is Dawn’s Angel Wish Network (D.A.W.N)?
D.A.W.N is an on-line community that brings together people, resources, and ideas from across the globe for the purpose of matching those resources with people in need. It provides an opportunity for those who wish to help others to do so at a direct, immediate level.

Why is there a need for this?
The D.A.W.N concept is important because a gap exists in connecting people in need to the resources available. Oftentimes, the answer to receiving valuable information to any problem is just a few people away; who you know is key. So the question to be asked is, “How do we quickly reach people with the resources to fulfill a need?” D.A.W.N fills this role by becoming the “glue” that binds the people in need with the people who have knowledge, resources, connections, and a willingness to help…right now.

In addition, people who wish to help want to know that their immediate efforts are making a difference to people. The D.A.W.N concept removes the “red tape” of the usual and customary donation scenario, thereby allowing the donor to experience immediate gratification knowing that their giving efforts are truly reaching the need identified.

Here's how it works:
1. D.A.W.N. finds (and screens) the "need"
2. D.A.W.N. sends out a request or call to action to the "network angels (YOU)" via email
3. YOU respond via email to me at Dawn@DawnsAngelWishNetwork.com if you would like to help

It's a very simple concept, but very powerful. I invite you to participate!!
