APRIL Wish: Connecting with College Students

COLLEGE! Who remembers those days?? I surely remember them like yesterday. My time as an Ohio University Bobcat seemed to go all too slow as a struggling student taking that LONG walk to class everyday, but as I look back and review the last 17 years, I realize...UM…that 17 years is NOT a typo! Whoa! I’m sure that times haven’t changed much; I’ll bet Ramen Noodles are still all the rage! We all know that many college kids don’t have a lot of money OR resources. In fact, with the ever-increasing cost of tuition and books, it’s a miracle that most of them have any money left over for necessity items like clothes, toiletries, etc. However, I have been blessed to come across an organization that has a solution to this dilemma. I encourage you to participate in the APRIL WISH by joining forces with a ministry determined to “fill the gap” through helping college students in need.

APRIL REQUEST: Many college students are facing a tough time. With tuition payments, high priced books, a tough economy, etc. there’s little left over for necessities. Let’s help the college students in need!

The NEED: Would you like to join forces with College Students Ministries (CSM), a 501c3 organization, by donating to help students with basic necessity items? CSM visits state colleges/universities throughout Ohio and delivers special care packages to students in need. Items included in the care packages may include: toothpaste, washing powder, shampoo, soap, shaving products, clothing, accessories, etc. In addition, CSM ministers through delivering spiritual encouragement to support students on their journey towards graduation! Can you forward this blog to others who may want to help college students? Do you have information that may help CSM affect more college students?

The INSTRUCTIONS: Please email me ASAP Dawn-Mitchell@sbcglobal.net if you are interested in donating to CSM, or if you require additional information.

The REWARD: You could let a college student in need know that he/she is loved!
